2 ½ lbs. ground chicken
1 lb. bacon
Dashes of cinnamon
Dashes of ground cumin
Dashes of fresh ground black pepper
Dashes of sea salt
Healthy handful of cilantro – chopped
2 medium sized bell pepper – chopped
Juice of ½ lime
American cheese for burgers
1 quart of button mushrooms – sliced
1 sweet onion – sliced
3 zucchini – sliced lengthwise
Juice of ½ lime
Tsp. of brown sugar
Dashes of cumin
Dashes of paprika
Dashes of chili powder
1 tablespoon of honey
In a large frying pan place the bacon and sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon, ground cumin, and black pepper. Place the cooked bacon on a paper towel to absorb the grease. Reserve a few tablespoons of the bacon fat for the chicken burgers.
Heat a griddle and place the sliced of veggies on the heated griddle. Season the veggies with the dashes of paprika, chili powder and cumin while grilling. Place in a dish and add the honey, brown sugar and lime juice.
In a large bowl combine the ground chicken, chopped bell peppers and the cilantro. Add the dashes of cumin, black pepper and the sea salt. Mix together well and form into burgers.
Place the burgers on the heated griddle. Drizzle a little bacon fat over the burgers as they grill. When the burgers are golden on one side, flip. Squeeze the lime juice over the burgers as they grill. When the burgers are almost finished grilling, top the burger with a slice of American cheese.
Place the burger on your favorite bread, topped with the grilled veggies and bacon. This burger will taste as if you went to an expensive burger place!
