Ingredients:
1 cup of fresh broccoli – blanched and chopped
½ onion – chopped
¼ lb. of bacon – chopped
4 eggs
1 pat of butter
1 ½ cups of butter milk
4 oz. of shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
Parmesan cheese – grated
Dash of nutmeg
¼ tsp. salt
Dashes of black pepper
Preheat Oven 350 degrees:
Heat a large frying.
Add the chopped onion and the bacon.
Let this sauté until the onion is transparent and the bacon has a little
golden color on the edges.
Butter a 10 inch pie plate.
In a bowl beat the eggs with the buttermilk, salt, pepper
and nutmeg, just until combined. Add the
shredded cheese and pour into the pie plate.
Add the chopped broccoli and top with grated Parmesan
cheese.
Bake 40-45 minutes or until golden and puffy.
This is a nice light lunch or simple dinner with a side
salad.

I hope you are fine!Unfortunately I won't be having much free time to blog this year, ...Nevertheless I will stop by and see all the great things you will be cooking!
God bless you,my dear friend!
Really a good idea to put buttermilk in quiches... Never tried it tough... Like your crustless quiche Catherine, it looks really good!
Sounds wonderful...my least favourite bit of a quiche is the pastry so a 'no crust' one is just perfect for me....and you can NEVER have too much broccoli!
I love the no crust, it makes this delicious quiche that much simpler :D

Nice post Catherine. Broccoli and cheese have to be one of the top 10 food combos of all time. They just go together so well.

thanks for following me, I do same for you From Harry
I love this idea. I rarely keep bacon in the house, but it's worth running out to get some to make this delight.
I love quiche and this looks really nice : )
Simple yet totally satisfying! Just from the looks of it, I would have to say that the people who devoured this meal enjoyed themselves. Cheddar and parmesan are a classic combination when it comes to melting cheese. The cheddar gives that soft and sweet filling, while parmesan gives a little texture to it. Good job with the recipe!
