~ Old Fashioned – French Toast ~

Ingredients:

1 cup of milk
2 eggs
Dashes of cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
Dash of all-spice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Butter
Slices of white bread
Honey or syrup
Powdered sugar

Combine the milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, all-spice and brown sugar in a bowl and mix.

Place the bread in the mixture and let sit a second or two and then turn over on the other side and let sit another second or two.

Heat a griddle or large frying pan with a pat of butter.

Place the dipped bread on the griddle and let and grill on each side for three to four minutes, until a nice golden color is reached.

Serve with powdered sugar, a pat of butter and warm honey or syrup.

What a nice breakfast, lunch or light dinner.

Enjoy with Love,

Catherine

We do something similar but without all the spices added and serve it with Jam...it is very originally called, 'eggy bread'!!
